World child painters pining for Tehran tribute

TEHRAN -- The exhibition of the 4th International Children's Painting Competition is held From June 22 to July 2 at the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) in Tehran.

Over 220 children from 19 countries submitted 5,279 works to the secretariat of the exhibition.

Works are either on the theme of “My Homeland and Rainbow” or on the free theme.

Forty paintings are awarded gold medals while 92 and 188 works snatch silver and bronze medals respectively.

Mehdi Saleh Mojtahed, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Mohammad-Hossein Salavatian, Iraj Dadashi from Iran and Linda Wolfsgruber from Austria are the jury members.

Artistic workshops with the aim of developing the visitors’ creativity are also held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
